In Norse mythology Heimdall is the god of light, the son of nine mothers. He was born at the end of the world and raised by the force of the earth, seawater and the blood of a boar. He is the watchman of the gods and guards Bifrost, the only entrance to Asgard, the realm of the gods. It is Heimdall's duty to prevent the giants from forcing their way into Asgard. He requires less sleep than a bird and can see a hundred miles around him, by night as well as by day.
We have taken this name for our Landfall as we have become discouraged by the way Torvaldsland has become diluted. We will build true to the book's RP and watch it grow through attention to detail and imagination in the stories we weave, looking to the future and guarding, as Heimdall did, the old ways that will make Torvaldsland mighty as it once was . . .
We are looking for players, new or old but who can fit the criteria below:-
Jarls who are strong and uncompromising, but not cruel for cruel's sake and collar happy.
Freewomen who can, and will, speak their mind and give their opinion, comfortable in the knowledge their freedom is assured as long as respect is maintained.
Bondmaids who had that cockyness, who knew what it was to be proud to serve their Jarl and took honour in that; not cartoon caricatures who are disrespectful and disobedient. Know your life is in the balance every day!
